In the scope of technical regulations of ships, the persons or institutions that will perform the sheet thickness measurement should be designated and empowered by the Administration due to the provision of the 1st sub-clause of the 9th clause of the regulations "The sheet thickness measurement should be performed by person or institution empowered by the Administration providing that they have certificate of at least 1 degree concerning ultrasonic examination ".
